SHIPPING AND STORE FAQ

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS/PACKAGING/COLORS I try to do my best to reflect the actual condition/descript of the products offered. All items are new and unopened/unplayed unless otherwise noted. For most products, this means a shrinkwrapped product, but some labels no longer shrinkwrap their CDs/LPs by default. If the product doesn't have shrinkwrap, i'll try to note it in the product description.

For vinyl, i try to note any variant colors available. It is hard for me to check shrinkwrapped releases, so i'm going on good faith from the original label/distributor that the color is accurate. if i have a color listed that was never pressed, odds are i made a mistake -- please TELL ME if you notice something wacky (i think i screwed up with the Confines of Heat LP listing one time). Because i'm a small distro, sometimes i have older versions of releases that are currently OOP elsewhere (like the Young Mountain 3rd pressing on blue vinyl) -- these are accurate listings! take advantage of my obscurity ! If you want to double check before ordering a record that seems too good to be true, email order@ericrock.com to confirm that it is still in stock.

SHIPPING POLICIES

• All online orders are processed through paypal. There is a flat rate handling/processing charge of $2 for every order to help cover paypal fees and packaging costs.
• I try to package every order in recycled/reused packaging material that i have at the office -- enjoy it and be thankful i don't have to charge extra to pay for brand new cardboard! Everything is packed based on what merch is ordered -- CD jewels have more padding than CD Digipaks, heavy vinyl has more reinforcement than a T-shirt. If you want extra-special heavy duty packaging, email me first and we can work something out.
• All US orders are shipped via MEDIA MAIL/BOOK RATE when possible. This is the cheapest way to send in the states, and that's what allows me to keep the shipping costs comparatively low. Unfortunately, media mail is a little slower than first class mail and may take a week or so longer. In very rare cases (such as when the package is flagged for inspection), media mail can take a month or more to arrive. You can purchase upgraded shipping in the SHIPPING OPTIONS page.
  
  International orders are shipped via USPS 1st Class Airmail by default (the much less expensive surface mail is no longer available). Unfortunately, this gets pretty expensive, especially with vinyl orders. The added shipping expense is reflected in the "WORLD" pricing options. If you are placing a large international order of lighter items (such as CDs) and would like to see if i can offer a lower combined shipping rate, get in touch (order@ericrock.com).
• We're not responsible for damage or loss caused by the postal service. Those dudes process a lot of mail every day, and occasionally a package gets lost. in some cases, i'll be able to work something out and replace the order for you, usually for free plus shipping costs - but i can't guarantee this will always be the case. if you are placing a large/valuable order, it's less likely that i'll be able to eat that loss. in cases like that, i'd recommend purchasing delivery confirmation and/or postal insurance to protect the order. you can find those options in the SHIPPING OPTIONS page.
